Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2016 Artcurial held the auction Orientalism, which included the work Calligraphie by Mahjoub Ben Bella. It changed hands for a price of EUR 3,900.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 3,000.00 – 4,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mahjoub Ben Bella achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled in April 2015 with an auction result of USD 68,750.00 (€ 61,592.90).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2016 führte Artcurial die Auktion Orientalism durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphie von Mahjoub Ben Bella zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 3.900,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 3.000,00 – 4.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mahjoub Ben Bella erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 68.750,00 (€ 61.592,90).
