Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Mahi Binebine achieved an unexpectedly high price at Artcurial in April 2013. In the “Cent Briques pour Madagascar 2” Sale benefiting to Ecoles du Monde auction, the work La Lutte sold for EUR 1,200.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 501.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mahi Binebine achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in July this year with an auction result of EUR 25,600.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Mahi Binebine erzielte im April 2013 bei Artcurial einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion “Cent Briques pour Madagascar 2” Sale benefiting to Ecoles du Monde wurde die Arbeit La Lutte für EUR 1.200,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 501,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mahi Binebine erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Juli diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 25.600,00.
