In January 2010 Sothebys in New York held the auction Old Master & 19th Century European Art, which included the work Extensive River Landscape With Christ On The Road To Emmaus by Maerten Ryckaert. The »bidding war« ended at USD 47,500.00 (€ 34,246.58), 36% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Maerten Ryckaert achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A River Landscape With The Flight Into Egypt in January 2009 with an auction result of USD 698,500.00 (€ 545,532.65).

Im Januar 2010 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Old Master & 19th Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Extensive River Landscape With Christ On The Road To Emmaus von Maerten Ryckaert zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 47.500,00 (€ 34.246,58) und damit 36% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Maerten Ryckaert erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A River Landscape With The Flight Into Egypt im Januar 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 698.500,00 (€ 545.532,65).
