In the Old Master & British Drawings auction, the work Jonah Cast On Shore By The Fish sold for GBP 26,250.00 (€ 37,213.68) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Maerten de Vos have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Gathering of Manna in July 2002 with an auction result of GBP 100,150.00 (€ 159,743.13).

Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Maerten de Vos auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Gathering of Manna im Juli 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 100.150,00 (€ 159.743,13).
