Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Dora Maar au Chat 2 by MADSAKI was sold in the No Regrets: 20th/21st Century Art Online auction at Christies in Hong Kong in December last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 4,000.00 – 8,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 4,410.00 (€ 528.47) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by MADSAKI achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Birth of Venus II in May last year with an auction result of HKD 4,788,000.00 (€ 568,438.36).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Dora Maar au Chat 2 von MADSAKI wurde im Dezember letzten Jahres in der Auktion No Regrets: 20th/21st Century Art Online bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 4.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 4.410,00 (€ 528,47) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von MADSAKI erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Birth of Venus II im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.788.000,00 (€ 568.438,36).
