A top price for MADSAKI
This artwork by MADSAKI achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May last year. In the 20th/21st Century Art Evening Sale auction, the work Birth of Venus II sold for HKD 4,788,000.00 (€ 568,438.36) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 2,000,000.00. This high result makes Birth of Venus II the most expensive artwork by MADSAKI that we have observed at auctions so far.
