A top price for Madhvi Parekh - as previously expected
In July 2007 Sothebys in New York held the auction An Auction to Benefit the Kolkata Museum of Modern Art, which included the work The Goddess by Madhvi Parekh. The auction ended at the price of USD 30,000.00 (€ 21,880.24), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 25,000.00 – 30,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, The Goddess is the most expensive artwork by Madhvi Parekh that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im Juli 2007 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion An Auction to Benefit the Kolkata Museum of Modern Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Goddess von Madhvi Parekh zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 30.000,00 (€ 21.880,24) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 25.000,00 – 30.000,00. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist The Goddess das teuerste Kunstwerk von Madhvi Parekh, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
