This artwork by Madge Gill achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in February 2008. In the 20th Century British Art auction, the work without title sold for GBP 3,000.00 (€ 3,923.88) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,200.00. Admittedly, works by Madge Gill have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled, 1951 in January 2020 with an auction result of USD 23,750.00 (€ 21,409.90).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Madge Gill erzielte im Februar 2008 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century British Art wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für GBP 3.000,00 (€ 3.923,88) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.200,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Madge Gill auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled, 1951 im Januar 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 23.750,00 (€ 21.409,90).
