Sold at the lower estimate price
In February last year Christies in New York held the auction Outsider Art, which included the work Untitled (abstract/ figure), double sided by Madge Gill. The result of USD 1,500.00 (€ 1,336.42) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,500.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Madge Gill achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled, 1951 in January 2020 with an auction result of USD 23,750.00 (€ 21,409.90).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Februar letzten Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion Outsider Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (abstract/ figure), double sided von Madge Gill zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 1.500,00 (€ 1.336,42) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.500,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Madge Gill erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled, 1951 im Januar 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 23.750,00 (€ 21.409,90).
