Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled, 1953 by Madge Gill was sold in the Outsider Art auction at Christies in New York in February last year. The price achieved of USD 8,125.00 (€ 7,238.95) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 10,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Madge Gill - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled, 1951, which sold at auction in January 2020 for USD 23,750.00 (€ 21,409.90).

Die Arbeit Untitled, 1953 von Madge Gill wurde im Februar letzten Jahres in der Auktion Outsider Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 8.125,00 (€ 7.238,95) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben worden.
