In January 2017 Christies in New York held the auction Courageous Spirits: Outsider and Vernacular Art, which included the work Many Mansions, 1951 by Madge Gill. The »bidding war« ended at USD 6,875.00 (€ 6,369.28), 38% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Madge Gill - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled, 1951, which sold at auction in January 2020 for USD 23,750.00 (€ 21,409.90).

Im Januar 2017 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Courageous Spirits: Outsider and Vernacular Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Many Mansions, 1951 von Madge Gill zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 6.875,00 (€ 6.369,28) und damit 38% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Madge Gill mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled, 1951 beobachtet, die im Januar 2020 für USD 23.750,00 (€ 21.409,90) versteigert wurde.
