Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2015 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale), which included the work Bitan by Ma Pai-Sui. The price achieved of HKD 40,000.00 (€ 4,693.47) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 30,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ma Pai-Sui - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sailing, which sold at auction in October 2016 for HKD 100,000.00 (€ 11,767.93).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2015 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Bitan von Ma Pai-Sui zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 40.000,00 (€ 4.693,47) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 30.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Ma Pai-Sui mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sailing beobachtet, die im Oktober 2016 für HKD 100.000,00 (€ 11.767,93) versteigert wurde.
