Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Landscape by Ma Pai-Sui was sold in the Modern Asian Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 30,000.00 – 60,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 37,500.00 (€ 3,956.85) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ma Pai-Sui - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sailing, which sold at auction in October 2016 for HKD 100,000.00 (€ 11,767.93).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Landscape von Ma Pai-Sui wurde im April 2018 in der Auktion Modern Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 30.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 37.500,00 (€ 3.956,85) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Ma Pai-Sui mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sailing beobachtet, die im Oktober 2016 für HKD 100.000,00 (€ 11.767,93) versteigert wurde.
