Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2013 Sothebys in Beijing held the auction Modern and Contemporary Chinese Art, which included the work Untitled (Diptych) by Ma Ke. The price achieved of CNY 354,000.00 (€ 42,441.98) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as CNY 300,000.00 – 400,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ma Ke achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Correct Posture of Youth in April this year with an auction result of HKD 840,000.00 (€ 857,804.35).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2013 führte Sothebys in Beijing die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Chinese Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Diptych) von Ma Ke zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von CNY 354.000,00 (€ 42.441,98) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit CNY 300.000,00 – 400.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ma Ke erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Correct Posture of Youth im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 840.000,00 (€ 857.804,35).
