Auction result well in line with expectations
In December this year Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings, which included the work Eight Horses by Ma Jin. The price achieved of HKD 176,400.00 (€ 20,411.50) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 150,000.00 – 200,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ma Jin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Appreciating Horses In The Countryside in April 2015 with an auction result of HKD 7,280,000.00 (€ 841,354.60).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember diesen Jahres führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Eight Horses von Ma Jin zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 176.400,00 (€ 20.411,50) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 150.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ma Jin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Appreciating Horses In The Countryside im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 7.280.000,00 (€ 841.354,60).
