Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Lynne Drexler achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in November this year. In the 20th Century Evening Sale auction, the work Flowering Judas 2 sold for USD 1,381,000.00 (€ 1,266,043.27) - well above the upper estimate of USD 500,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Lynne Drexler; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Herbert's Garden sold at auction in May last year with the realized price of USD 1,500,000.00 (€ 1,397,819.40).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Lynne Drexler erzielte im November diesen Jahres bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century Evening Sale wurde die Arbeit Flowering Judas 2 für USD 1.381.000,00 (€ 1.266.043,27) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 500.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Lynne Drexler; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Herbert's Garden im Mai letzten Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 1.500.000,00 (€ 1.397.819,40).
