Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Lynn Bogue Hunt could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in April 2011 for an unexpectedly low price. In the American Paintings auction, the work Soft Landing changed hands for USD 4,375.00 (€ 2,951.89) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Lynn Bogue Hunt have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Prize-Winning Fish in May this year with an auction result of USD 20,480.00 (€ 19,222.83).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Lynn Bogue Hunt konnte im April 2011 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion American Paintings wechselte die Arbeit Soft Landing für USD 4.375,00 (€ 2.951,89) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lynn Bogue Hunt auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Prize-Winning Fish im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 20.480,00 (€ 19.222,83).
