Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2017 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern Asian Art, which included the work Man With Horse by Luo Zhongli. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 2,000,000.00 – 4,000,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 2,375,000.00 (€ 280,335.02) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Luo Zhongli achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Spring Silkworms in November 2013 with an auction result of HKD 49,400,000.00 (€ 4,683,668.97).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2017 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Man With Horse von Luo Zhongli zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 2.000.000,00 – 4.000.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 2.375.000,00 (€ 280.335,02) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Luo Zhongli erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Spring Silkworms im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 49.400.000,00 (€ 4.683.668,97).
