Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2015 a collector was able to acquire the work Bathers In The Sun by Luo Zhongli for HKD 1,187,500.00 (€ 137,240.19). This price was achieved in the auction Modern Asian Art at Sothebys in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 1,200,000.00 – 1,800,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Luo Zhongli achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Spring Silkworms in November 2013 with an auction result of HKD 49,400,000.00 (€ 4,683,668.97).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im April 2015 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Bathers In The Sun von Luo Zhongli für HKD 1.187.500,00 (€ 137.240,19) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Modern Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 1.200.000,00 – 1.800.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Luo Zhongli erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Spring Silkworms im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 49.400.000,00 (€ 4.683.668,97).
