A top price for Luo Zhenyu
When the work Calligraphy by Luo Zhenyu was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2019, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - HKD 80,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than six times as high at HKD 525,000.00 (€ 59,760.29). This high result makes Calligraphy the most expensive artwork by Luo Zhenyu that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis für Luo Zhenyu
Als die Arbeit Calligraphy von Luo Zhenyu im April 2019 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, übertraf das Ergebnis die Erwartungen um ein Vielfaches. Der obere Schätzpreis war mit – rückwirkend betrachtet recht bescheidenen – HKD 80.000,00 angesetzt, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis hingegen war mit HKD 525.000,00 (€ 59.760,29) mehr als sechsmal so hoch. Dieses hohe Ergebnis macht Calligraphy zu dem teuersten Kunstwerk von Luo Zhenyu, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
