Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2011 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Asian Art, which included the work Deer by Luo Quanmu. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 160,000.00 – 250,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 162,500.00 (€ 15,006.81) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Luo Quanmu - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Beekeeper, which sold at auction in April 2015 for HKD 413,000.00 (€ 47,730.69).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2011 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Deer von Luo Quanmu zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 160.000,00 – 250.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 162.500,00 (€ 15.006,81) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Luo Quanmu mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Beekeeper beobachtet, die im April 2015 für HKD 413.000,00 (€ 47.730,69) versteigert wurde.
