Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Luke Clennell could be acquired at Christies in London in September 2004 for an unexpectedly low price. In the British and Continental Watercolours auction, the work Mending The Nets changed hands for GBP 71.70 (€ 104.46) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 200.00 – 300.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Luke Clennell achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Launching The Life Boat in November 2005 with an auction result of GBP 5,040.00 (€ 7,404.40).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Luke Clennell konnte im September 2004 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion British and Continental Watercolours wechselte die Arbeit Mending The Nets für GBP 71,70 (€ 104,46) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 200,00 – 300,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Luke Clennell erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Launching The Life Boat im November 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.040,00 (€ 7.404,40).
