A top price for Luke Clennell - as previously expected
The work Launching The Life Boat by Luke Clennell was sold in the British Art on Paper auction at Christies in London in November 2005. The price achieved of GBP 5,040.00 (€ 7,404.40) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Launching The Life Boat is the most expensive artwork by Luke Clennell that we have observed at auctions so far.
