Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Luis Ricardo Falero could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in October 2009 for an unexpectedly low price. In the 19th Century European Art including Important British Paintings auction, the work Spanish The Planet Venus changed hands for USD 56,250.00 (€ 38,122.67) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Luis Ricardo Falero - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Spanish The Enchantress, which sold at auction in May 2008 for GBP 84,500.00 (€ 107,487.69).
