Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Spanish The Human Soul by Luis Ricardo Falero was sold in the 19th Century Paintings including Spanish Painting and Symbolism & the Poetic Vision auction at Sothebys in London in November 2007. The price achieved of GBP 12,500.00 (€ 17,503.23) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Luis Ricardo Falero have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Spanish The Enchantress in May 2008 with an auction result of GBP 84,500.00 (€ 107,487.69).
