The »bidding war« ended at GBP 12,000.00 (€ 17,363.80), 20% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Luis Jiménez Aranda - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Dancing Lesson, which sold at auction in October 2003 for USD 53,775.00 (€ 46,321.82).

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 12.000,00 (€ 17.363,80) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Luis Jiménez Aranda mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Dancing Lesson beobachtet, die im Oktober 2003 für USD 53.775,00 (€ 46.321,82) versteigert wurde.
