Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2021 a collector was able to acquire this work without title by Luis Chan for USD 2,500.00 (€ 2,128.93). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art Asia at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Luis Chan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Marine Wonderland(Painted in 1978) in October last year with an auction result of HKD 504,000.00 (€ 64,585.46).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2021 konnte ein Sammler diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Luis Chan für USD 2.500,00 (€ 2.128,93) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art Asia bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Luis Chan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Marine Wonderland(Painted in 1978) im Oktober letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 504.000,00 (€ 64.585,46).
