Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Christmas Present by Luis Chan was sold in the Inkspiration: Chinese Paintings Online auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in August 2021. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 60,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 60,480.00 (€ 6,586.17). Admittedly, works by Luis Chan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Marine Wonderland(Painted in 1978) in October last year with an auction result of HKD 504,000.00 (€ 64,585.46).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Christmas Present von Luis Chan wurde im August 2021 in der Auktion Inkspiration: Chinese Paintings Online bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 60.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 60.480,00 (€ 6.586,17) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Luis Chan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Marine Wonderland(Painted in 1978) im Oktober letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 504.000,00 (€ 64.585,46).
