This artwork by Luis Chan achieved an unexpectedly high price at China Guardian in Hong Kong in April 2021. In the Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art auction, the work Household In Plum Blossom (Painted In 1974) sold for HKD 495,600.00 (€ 53,061.75) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 280,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Luis Chan; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Marine Wonderland(Painted in 1978) sold at auction in October last year with the realized price of HKD 504,000.00 (€ 64,585.46).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 77 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Luis Chan erzielte im April 2021 bei China Guardian in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Household In Plum Blossom (Painted In 1974) für HKD 495.600,00 (€ 53.061,75) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 280.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Luis Chan; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Marine Wonderland(Painted in 1978) im Oktober letzten Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 504.000,00 (€ 64.585,46).
