Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2020 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online, which included the work Fish by Luis Chan. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 60,000.00 (€ 6,478.07), 20% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Luis Chan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Marine Wonderland(Painted in 1978) in October last year with an auction result of HKD 504,000.00 (€ 64,585.46).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2020 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Fish von Luis Chan zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 60.000,00 (€ 6.478,07) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Luis Chan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Marine Wonderland(Painted in 1978) im Oktober letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 504.000,00 (€ 64.585,46).
