Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Luis Caballero was sold in the Latin American Sale auction at Christies in New York in November 2010. The price achieved of USD 6,875.00 (€ 5,273.86) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Luis Caballero - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in November 2010 for USD 27,500.00 (€ 21,095.43).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 6.875,00 (€ 5.273,86) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Luis Caballero mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im November 2010 für USD 27.500,00 (€ 21.095,43) versteigert wurde.
