This artwork by Luis Caballero achieved an unexpectedly high price at Artcurial in Paris in April this year. In the Contemporary Art auction, the work Sans titre - 1973 sold for EUR 3,936.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Luis Caballero have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in November 2010 with an auction result of USD 27,500.00 (€ 21,095.43).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 97 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Luis Caballero erzielte im April diesen Jahres bei Artcurial in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Sans titre - 1973 für EUR 3.936,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 2.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Luis Caballero auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 27.500,00 (€ 21.095,43).
