Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Plátanos by Luis Armando Zesatti was sold in the Latin American Art auction at Sothebys in New York in May 2009. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 18,000.00 – 22,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 18,750.00 (€ 13,273.40) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Luis Armando Zesatti - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Jardines De La Reina, which sold at auction in May 2012 for USD 46,875.00 (€ 37,912.49).
