Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Head Of Andromache, Mourning Over The Foot Of Hector by Luigi Sabatelli was sold in the Old Master and British Drawings Including Property from the Descendants of Walter Brandt auction at Sothebys in London in July 2011. The price achieved of GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,016.77) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 4,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Luigi Sabatelli achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Armida and the sleeping Rinaldo on a chariot drawn by dragons and escorted by putti in July 2017 with an auction result of GBP 60,000.00 (€ 66,950.79).
