Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2007 Sothebys in New York held the auction Old Master Drawings, which included the work Male Academy Study by Luigi Sabatelli. The price achieved of USD 6,600.00 (€ 5,077.70) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Luigi Sabatelli achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Armida and the sleeping Rinaldo on a chariot drawn by dragons and escorted by putti in July 2017 with an auction result of GBP 60,000.00 (€ 66,950.79).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2007 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Old Master Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Male Academy Study von Luigi Sabatelli zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 6.600,00 (€ 5.077,70) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Luigi Sabatelli erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Armida and the sleeping Rinaldo on a chariot drawn by dragons and escorted by putti im Juli 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 60.000,00 (€ 66.950,79).
