Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 9.100,00 (€ 6.973,71) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Luigi Sabatelli auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Armida and the sleeping Rinaldo on a chariot drawn by dragons and escorted by putti im Juli 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 60.000,00 (€ 66.950,79).
