Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Luigi Mantovani could be acquired at Il Ponte in November 2016 for an unexpectedly low price. In the 19th and 20th Century Paintings and Sculptures auction, the work Santa Maria della Salute a Venezia changed hands for EUR 1,800.00 - missing the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 2,000.00 – 2,200.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Luigi Mantovani - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Piazza San Babila, which sold at auction in November 2013 for EUR 6,800.00.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Luigi Mantovani konnte im November 2016 bei Il Ponte für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion 19th and 20th Century Paintings and Sculptures wechselte die Arbeit Santa Maria della Salute a Venezia für EUR 1.800,00 den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 2.000,00 – 2.200,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Luigi Mantovani mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Piazza San Babila beobachtet, die im November 2013 für EUR 6.800,00 versteigert wurde.
