Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Piazza San Marco, Venezia by Luigi Mantovani was auctioned at Il Ponte in November 2018, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 3,000.00 – 3,500.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 2,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Luigi Mantovani - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Piazza San Babila, which sold at auction in November 2013 for EUR 6,800.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Piazza San Marco, Venezia von Luigi Mantovani im November 2018 bei Il Ponte versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 3.000,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 2.500,00 den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Luigi Mantovani mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Piazza San Babila beobachtet, die im November 2013 für EUR 6.800,00 versteigert wurde.
