In July 2019 Christies in London held the auction British & European Art: European Art, which included the work Sur le boulevard Berthier, Paris by Luigi Loir. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 27,500.00 (€ 30,193.17), 38% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Luigi Loir have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work French les Quais De La Seine, 1900 in June 2017 with an auction result of GBP 224,750.00 (€ 255,948.32).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 38 % übertroffen
Im Juli 2019 führte Christies in London die Auktion British & European Art: European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sur le boulevard Berthier, Paris von Luigi Loir zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 27.500,00 (€ 30.193,17) und damit 38% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Luigi Loir auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit French les Quais De La Seine, 1900 im Juni 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 224.750,00 (€ 255.948,32).
