Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Place de la Bastille, Paris by Luigi Loir was sold in the British & European Art: European Art auction at Christies in London in July 2019. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 12,500.00 (€ 13,724.17) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Luigi Loir achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work French les Quais De La Seine, 1900 in June 2017 with an auction result of GBP 224,750.00 (€ 255,948.32).

Die Arbeit Place de la Bastille, Paris von Luigi Loir wurde im Juli 2019 in der Auktion British & European Art: European Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 12.500,00 (€ 13.724,17) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Luigi Loir erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit French les Quais De La Seine, 1900 im Juni 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 224.750,00 (€ 255.948,32).
