In June 2010 Sothebys in London held the auction 19th Century European Paintings Including German, Austrian and Central European Paintings, The Orientalist Sale, Spanish Painting and the Scandinavian Sale, which included the work Italian new Friends by Luigi Crosio. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 11,875.00 (€ 14,441.11), 48% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Luigi Crosio have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Beautiful Slave in April 2007 with an auction result of USD 114,000.00 (€ 83,455.34).

Im Juni 2010 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 19th Century European Paintings Including German, Austrian and Central European Paintings, The Orientalist Sale, Spanish Painting and the Scandinavian Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Italian new Friends von Luigi Crosio zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 11.875,00 (€ 14.441,11) und damit 48% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Luigi Crosio auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Beautiful Slave im April 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 114.000,00 (€ 83.455,34).
