Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Praying In The Blue Mosque, Cairo by Ludwig Deutsch was sold in the Important Works from the Najd Collection auction at Sothebys in London in October 2019. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,500,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,695,000.00 (€ 1,966,078.44). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ludwig Deutsch - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Tribute, which sold at auction in October 2019 for GBP 4,298,400.00 (€ 4,985,835.73).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Praying In The Blue Mosque, Cairo von Ludwig Deutsch wurde im Oktober 2019 in der Auktion Important Works from the Najd Collection bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.695.000,00 (€ 1.966.078,44) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Ludwig Deutsch mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Tribute beobachtet, die im Oktober 2019 für GBP 4.298.400,00 (€ 4.985.835,73) versteigert wurde.
