In June 2004 Christies in London held the auction Sporting Art and Dogs, which included the work Morning, a Scottie dog lying on a bed by Lucy Dawson. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 597.50 (€ 889.26), 71% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lucy Dawson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Five studies of dogs including: A cocker spaniel; and A terrier, which sold at auction in July 2008 for GBP 1,875.00 (€ 2,382.21).

Im Juni 2004 führte Christies in London die Auktion Sporting Art and Dogs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Morning, a Scottie dog lying on a bed von Lucy Dawson zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 597,50 (€ 889,26) und damit 71% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Lucy Dawson mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Five studies of dogs including: A cocker spaniel; and A terrier beobachtet, die im Juli 2008 für GBP 1.875,00 (€ 2.382,21) versteigert wurde.
