Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In July 2021 Sothebys in Paris held the auction Contemporary Curated, which included the work La vague by Lucien Wercollier. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 6,930.00 16% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lucien Wercollier - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Stehender Akt., which sold at auction in December 2017 for EUR 22,500.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juli 2021 führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion Contemporary Curated durch, in der auch die Arbeit La vague von Lucien Wercollier zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 6.930,00 und damit 16% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Lucien Wercollier mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Stehender Akt. beobachtet, die im Dezember 2017 für EUR 22.500,00 versteigert wurde.
