Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
The work Contrastes - 1959 by Lucien Wercollier was worth EUR 4,550.00 to a buyer in December 2021. This price was achieved in the auction Post-War & Contemporary - Day Sale at Artcurial in Paris and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of EUR 1,500.00 many times over. Admittedly, works by Lucien Wercollier have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Stehender Akt. in December 2017 with an auction result of EUR 22,500.00.
Kunstwerk zum Dreifachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert
Die Arbeit Contrastes - 1959 von Lucien Wercollier war einem Käufer im Dezember 2021 EUR 4.550,00 wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary - Day Sale bei Artcurial in Paris erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 1.500,00 um ein Vielfaches. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lucien Wercollier auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Stehender Akt. im Dezember 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 22.500,00.
