Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Head and Shoulders of a Girl by Lucian Freud was sold in the Prints and Multiples auction at Bonhams in London in December this year. The price achieved of GBP 17,920.00 (€ 20,643.15) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lucian Freud achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Large Interior, W11 (after Watteau) in November last year with an auction result of USD 86,265,000.00 (€ 83,565,823.89).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Head and Shoulders of a Girl von Lucian Freud wurde im Dezember diesen Jahres in der Auktion Prints and Multiples bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 17.920,00 (€ 20.643,15) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lucian Freud erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Large Interior, W11 (after Watteau) im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 86.265.000,00 (€ 83.565.823,89).
