Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Luca Postiglione could be acquired at Christies in New York in February 2002 for an unexpectedly low price. In the House Sale auction, the work An Elegant Lady by a Fountain; and An Elegant Man in a Garden changed hands for USD 3,290.00 (€ 3,799.95) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Luca Postiglione - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ragazza in profilo, which sold at auction in April 2007 for USD 18,000.00 (€ 13,177.16).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Luca Postiglione konnte im Februar 2002 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion House Sale wechselte die Arbeit An Elegant Lady by a Fountain; and An Elegant Man in a Garden für USD 3.290,00 (€ 3.799,95) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Luca Postiglione mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ragazza in profilo beobachtet, die im April 2007 für USD 18.000,00 (€ 13.177,16) versteigert wurde.
