Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2008 Christies in London held the auction Maritime, which included the work The Royal Thames Yacht Club's steam yacht Ianara by Luca Papaluca. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,200.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,590.05). Admittedly, works by Luca Papaluca have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Royal Yacht Squadron'S Steam Yacht Venetia In Neapolitan Waters (Illustrated); And At Sea in May 2006 with an auction result of GBP 5,760.00 (€ 8,407.72).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2008 führte Christies in London die Auktion Maritime durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Royal Thames Yacht Club's steam yacht Ianara von Luca Papaluca zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.200,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.250,00 (€ 1.590,05) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Luca Papaluca auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Royal Yacht Squadron'S Steam Yacht Venetia In Neapolitan Waters (Illustrated); And At Sea im Mai 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.760,00 (€ 8.407,72).
