Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Two Seated Naked Soldiers, Their Shields Lying Beside Them by Luca Cambiaso was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in January 2014. The price achieved of USD 15,000.00 (€ 11,111.11) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Luca Cambiaso achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A 'Sacra Conversazione': The Madonna And Child With Saints Paul And Augustine, A Putto Reading At Their Feet in July 2007 with an auction result of GBP 692,000.00 (€ 1,027,779.74).
