In July 2011 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master and British Drawings Including Property from the Descendants of Walter Brandt, which included the work The Madonna And Child With The Infant St. John by Luca Cambiaso. The result of GBP 4,000.00 (€ 4,590.60) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Luca Cambiaso achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A 'Sacra Conversazione': The Madonna And Child With Saints Paul And Augustine, A Putto Reading At Their Feet in July 2007 with an auction result of GBP 692,000.00 (€ 1,027,779.74).

Im Juli 2011 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master and British Drawings Including Property from the Descendants of Walter Brandt durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Madonna And Child With The Infant St. John von Luca Cambiaso zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 4.000,00 (€ 4.590,60) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Luca Cambiaso erzielen.
